We are a part of generations. We build a foundation for the next generation and we actually shape it in what we say and do. We contribute to the success or failure of the next generation of believers. We can set a practical example for the Christian generation to come.
We desire that the generation coming obey the king of Glory we happily submit to. Our concern is how we influence the next generation while we are living in ours. We want to know how we effectively influence the next generation to facilitate for their lives of following Jesus. We want to be a role model for the people around us now and to leave foot-prints for the next generation.
We don’t just live for ourselves only. We also have the responsibility of the next generation to come. Our daily godly lives give a fuel to the next generation to be on fire for God. How we behave in this will encourage or discourage next. The way we worship God and serve him will be used as a measuring tool for the generation to come.
What we say and do in our generation actually influence the next one. We have the great opportunity of being a role model in what we say and do. But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, and perseverance 2 Timothy 3:10
We can be real models of following Jesus wholeheartedly for the next generation to look up to. We can be good examples in the high regard we give to the word of God in our daily lives for the next generation.
We can be examples of faith-living. We can facilitate for their rising. We sacrifice for their comfort. We encourage the next to sacrifice more by what we sacrifice now.
A generation that will see us as fathers and mothers of faith is coming. We are here to contribute for the advancement of the Kingdome and presence of God in our generation and the generation to come.
We want as many as of our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will follow Jesus if he tarries. We want as many of them minister the gospel. We want them to follow the pure teaching of Jesus without compromise.
It is only by living for God and for him only that we can give the next generation a practical example how to follow Jesus.
I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also. 2 Timothy 1:5
