Boast in the Lord

God created us all for success. And everyone wants to succeed in life. Nobody wants to be left. That is why everyone is searching for the success keys in life to follow.

But not all thoughts are a right way to succeed. In centuries, there are some things people deceive themselves into believing that they are the success recipes. But they are not. Sooner or later, people who follow them will definitely be disappointed.

The bible warns us repeatedly against the basting of wisdom, strength and riches. People usually tend to boast of those things believing that they are keys to a successful life. People invest their lives to acquire those things and be disappointed later learning that they were on the wrong track. People even regret about their following vanity.

This is what the Lord says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, Jeremiah 9:23

Let not the wise boast of their wisdom as they don’t do anything significance for them. Their wisdom doesn’t give them success in life.

Let the imprudent don’t be humiliated as they lack nothing just because they are not wise.

Let not the strong boast in their strength as there is no key of life in their strength. Strength doesn’t really matter for success in life.

Let not the weak feel incapable of doing something significance in life. As strength or the lack of it isn’t decisive for life success.

Let not the riches boast in their riches. As riches are so limited that there are many things the riches cannot do.

And Let the poor don’t despise themselves as “life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.” (Luke 12:15)

Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions." Luke 12:15

But there is one legitimate boasting reason namely boasting in the Lord. If you boast in understanding that the wisdom, strength or riches don’t really matter in life you have a reason to boast about. If you understand that the key to life success isn’t down here on earth, you have the knowledge to celebrate about.

If you really understand that what matters is God, you have a valid reason to boast about. If you understand that the life successes key is in the hand of God, You don’t err in boasting in that understanding.

But let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 9:24
